Connect appscriptly to Claude as a custom connector. It takes a few minutes, with nothing to download or run.
appscriptly is a remote MCP server. You add it once to your AI assistant, sign in with Google, and then ask for what you want in plain language.
In claude.ai, open Settings, then Connectors (the option may read Custom connectors), and choose Add custom connector. Paste the appscriptly server URL below, give it a name like appscriptly, and save.

The first time you use an appscriptly tool, a Google sign-in window opens. If you are signed into more than one Google account, the account chooser appears: pick the account whose Workspace you want appscriptly to work in. Review the consent screen and click Allow.
You are granting exactly what the privacy policy describes: create and edit your Docs, Sheets, and Slides; per-file Drive access; your Calendar, Tasks, Forms, and Contacts; send-and-label Gmail (it cannot read your mailbox); and permission to install Apps Script automations. appscriptly requests no scope on Google's restricted list.
Persistent automations (custom menus, scheduled jobs, custom functions, reactive triggers) need the Google Apps Script API switched on for your account. Until it is on, the first automation you install fails with an error saying the Apps Script API is not enabled.
Open script.google.com/home/usersettings, turn Google Apps Script API to On, and wait a few seconds. This is a one-time Google account setting.
Plain Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Calendar, Tasks, Forms, Contacts, and Gmail actions work without this step. It is needed only for the persistent automations.

The most common first-run snag is an automation failing because the Apps Script API is still off (step 3). Turn it on, wait a few seconds, and ask again. For anything else, email [email protected].
